To help our families plan their fall calendars without a heavy upfront financial burden, you have the option to secure your spots for all of our Fall trips with a $15 per-trip nonrefundable deposit which will go toward your final balance.

Homeschool Corn Maze Meetup

Friday October 23rd 11:30-1:00

(with option to stay later at the outdoor restaurant)

TwinsBBQ Brookfield, CT

Cost: $10 per person due to the venue upon arrival

Description: What's better than Fall fun with friends? We had about 50 participants come for the Homeschool Corn Maze Meetup last October and everyone had a blast, so we're doing it again!  TwinsBBQ in Brookfield, CT is welcoming us back to get lost in their Dolly Parton themed maze. 

This is an event for the whole family- all ages welcome. TwinsBBQ is absolutely delicious and I highly recommend heading over to the food truck/seating area to order lunch. They have great deals for kid meals as well as lunch specials, so feel free to arrive at 11:30 and grab lunch, or work up an appetite in the maze then head over!

Homeschool Farm Day at Flanders Nature Center

Friday November 13th 1:00-2:00

Woodbury, CT

Registration will open in September

Cost: $12 per child + $15 per family fee for non members

No cost for attending adults

Come with us to Flanders Nature Center to visit the barn animals, the farm & rural life museum, and take a scenic tractor ride!

We have worked with the Education Director at Flanders to specially curate a fun and engaging experience for our kiddos. Children will be able to choose between two programs, regardless of age (even though each will be loosely geared toward certain age-groups, like 4-8 and 9-13+)

Fall on the Farm (geared toward younger children but older kids welcome!) will include a farm tour to visit to observe and learn about the animals (goats, chickens, pigs, donkeys, sheep and a bull!) and an opportunity to feed the pigs and goats and possibly take the goats out for a walk. A bunny circle may also take place, where the kids sit in a circle and a few bunnies run around while we learn more about them. This program will also include a life cycle of a pumpkin activity.

Farm Technology Through Time (geared toward older children but younger kids welcome!) will include a brief discussion about the history of farming in New England, then a scavenger hunt through the one room farming museum to view and learn about antique farming equipment, including a quick walk down the path to see the farm's antique tractors.

BOTH will include a tractor ride to observe the fields, meadow, wetlands and forest that Flanders has to offer!
